Creating Australia’s largest inland port
The Parkes precinct will cover an area of 4,800 hectares, located at the only junction of Australia’s two rail spines, the Inland Rail and the Trans-Australia Railway.
Already home to the National Logistics Hub, the precinct’s location will provide suppliers access to 80 per cent of Australia’s markets within 12 hours by road or rail, allowing local products to be delivered across Australia and around the world.

The Wagga Wagga precinct will cover an area of approximately 4,500 hectares, including 300 hectares already developed as part of the Bomen Business Park.
This highly accessible precinct, which will incorporate the Riverina Intermodal Freight and Logistics Hub (RiFL) will create incredible domestic and international growth opportunities for existing businesses and new investors in the region.

Investigations for this precinct will focus on the opportunity for Jindabyne to become Australia’s alpine capital by increasing year-round adventure and ecotourism in the region.
A boundary for the Special Activation Precinct will be proposed when a draft masterplan is delivered in early 2021.

Creating a defence and aerospace hub
The Williamtown precinct will build on the NSW Government’s existing investment into the Astra Aerolab and create highly-skilled, long-term job opportunities that will attract investors, and strengthen the region’s economy.
The master planning process will investigate more than 10,000 hectares of land within the Port Stephens Local Government Area, including Newcastle Airport and its surrounds.
