Regional Growth NSW Development Corporation has now awarded the design and construction contract to Fulton Hogan after an extensive EOI and Early Contractor Involvement process with two contractors.
Fulton Hogan has been working through the design and are expected to move to site to begin early work in June 2021.
Early work will involve site surveys, geotechnical investigations and utilities (water, electrical and gas) relocations.
Construction work is expected to begin in June 2021. This will include the upgrade of Brolgan Road to incorporate a roundabout with the new Coopers Road, two bridges over the railway lines, a new 30MVa substation and all associated utilities.
The work, which is Stage 1 of the plan for the precinct, is expected to be complete by March 2023.
Once complete, the new infrastructure will open about 1500 hectares for development.
